Where USA TODAY Sports’ sees Alabama in latest Bracketology projection
Even after a disappointing home loss to the top-ranked Auburn Tigers this past Saturday, are the Alabama Crimson Tide still projected to be a No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament?
Well, based on the latest NCAA Tournament bracketology projection by USA TODAY Sports, that answer is a yes.
Released on Tuesday morning, USA TODAY Sports still projects Alabama as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, joined by Auburn, Florida, and Duke. USA TODAY Sports also has Alabama as the one-seed in the Midwest Region, matching up with No. 16 seed Cleveland State in Lexington during the Round of 64.
Now yes, this could obviously change depending on how Alabama performs in between now and Selection Sunday, but it’s clear that at the moment, the Crimson Tide are still on track to be a one-seed, even despite the loss against Auburn.
The Crimson Tide’s next game is set to come Wednesday night on the road at Missouri, with tipoff set for 9 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
