Hubie Brown’s storied broadcasting career comes to a close Sunday afternoon, as the Hall of Famer calls his final game when the Bucks host the 76ers.
Brown, 91, has served 35 years as a national TV and radio analyst, educating the audience with boundless knowledge and enthusiasm for basketball.
Play-by-play voice Mike Breen, who will call Sunday’s game alongside Brown, maintains that “no one on earth has educated more people on the game of basketball” than Brown.
For Brown, a 50-year journey with the NBA ends where it started: His professional coaching career began in Milwaukee, way back in 1972.
In the years since, Brown has called 18 NBA Finals and over 600 games for the ESPN family of networks. He’s also a two-time NBA Coach of the Year.
