LSU women’s basketball faces Tennessee for the second time this season on Sunday.
The No. 6 Tigers’ only loss is to South Carolina, and they’ve rattled off four-straight SEC victories, including a seven-point win over No. 13 Oklahoma.
Soon enough, Selection Sunday will be here, and it will be time for March Madness and the NCAA Tournament. Let’s check in on LSU’s title hopes.
LSU’s national title odds rank seventh at +2200. South Carolina has the best odds at +185, followed by undefeated UCLA at +400. UConn’s odds are at +475, but that will change after it was upset by Tennessee.
Notre Dame (+475), USC (+550) and Texas (+1700) round out the top six. LSU has the third best odds in the SEC to win the national championship behind the Gamecocks and Longhorns.
The Tigers host the Volunteers on Sunday, then have a week to prepare for a matchup in Austin with Texas. Including those two games, they have six contests remaining in the regular season. Four of those games are against top-25 opponents.
