LAWRENCE — The opening of the latest college football signing period came and went Wednesday without much news from Kansas football’s 2025 recruiting class on National Signing Day.
The Jayhawks’ group of 15 signees from the high school ranks remains at 15. There were no new reported commitments from the transfer portal, leaving the Jayhawks with 22 new players from there.
Instead, it was the momentum around the program’s class of 2026 recruiting class that garnered more of the attention.
As of Thursday morning, the 247Sports Composite rankings have Kansas’ 2025 recruiting class at No. 72 in the nation and No. 15 in the Big 12. The 247Sports transfer rankings place the Jayhawks at No. 24 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big 12. Overall, Kansas is ranked No. 56 in the nation and No. 12 in the Big 12.
