Kentucky women’s basketball closed nonconference play undefeated at home for the 18th time.
Center Clara Strack recorded her sixth double-double (21 points and 12 rebounds) in the Wildcats’ 88-70 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday. She was one of four Cats to score in double digits.
Kentucky’s win over the Hilltoppers marked the fourth consecutive game in which the Wildcats (11-1) scored 80 points, the program’s longest streak since 2015.
Heading into SEC play, the Wildcats are ranked 16th in the latest AP Top 25 rankings. The USA TODAY Coaches Poll will be released later this week.
Other SEC teams in the AP rankings are South Carolina (No. 2), Texas (No. 5), LSU (No. 6), Oklahoma (No. 9), Tennessee (No. 15), Alabama (No. 19) and Ole Miss (No. 25).
In its next game, Kentucky will host Mississippi State at 7 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Coliseum.
