Although The Masters is the first golf major of the season, it’s also the most-beloved one for many. The 2025 Masters marks the event’s 90th iteration, a milestone for the sport and the event held annually at Augusta National Golf Club.
Last year, world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler walked away with the tournament victory and The Masters’ green jacket, finishing four strokes above second place Ludvig Aberg. And Scheffler remains the favorite to repeat. After all, he’s won two of the last three Masters.
However, Scheffler’s dominance in majors may be overstated. He’s only won one major since the start of 2023, and he failed to finish top-5 in any major in 2024 outside of his win at the Masters. Perhaps there is a window of opportunity for someone else to come in and secure a victory. Here’s everything to know about the upcoming 2025 Masters Tournament.
When does the 2025 Masters tournament begin?
The first round of The Masters is Thursday, April 10, with the first shot of the tournament teeing off at 8 a.m. ET. The second round is scheduled for Friday April 11, after which there will be a cut. The final two rounds will take place that Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, respectively.
