Edey, the Memphis Grizzlies rookie from Purdue, throws down a dunk Wednesday night on the second-year San Antonio Spurs star in the first quarter.

Wemby got in Edey’s way later in the quarter.

Edey, two-time national Player of the Year and No. 9 overall draft pick, averages 9.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He’s even hitting 39.3% of his 3-pointers.

Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick in 2023 who is headed for All-NBA honors, averaging 25.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and a league-best 3.9 blocked shots per game.

The Indiana Pacers head to France next week to play the Spurs and Frenchman Wembanyama twice.
