The Iowa football team will try to get a Homecoming victory when it plays host to Northwestern on Saturday. Kickoff for the Big Ten Conference game is set for 2:30 p.m. CT at Kinnick Stadium.

IOWA: The Hawkeyes‘ defense was uncharacteristically leaky in the loss at Michigan State. Iowa had 22 missed tackles, according to Pro Football Focus. Iowa’s previous high this year was eight against Minnesota. So bringing down ball-carriers will no doubt be a focus for Phil Parker’s group this week. The Hawkeyes’ offense is led by Kaleb Johnson (1,035 rushing yards), and he’ll look to have a big game after being held mostly in check by Michigan State.
NORTHWESTERN: The Wildcats’ victories have come against Miami (Ohio), Eastern Illinois and Maryland. Their losses were against Duke, Washington, Indiana and Wisconsin. Northwestern’s offense is balanced but not explosive, averaging 166 passing yards and 120 rushing yards per game. Jack Lausch led the Wildcats with 82 passing yards and 55 rushing yards in the loss to the Badgers.
