The 4-2 Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team get a national spotlight when they visit the Tennessee Volunteers for the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge on Tuesday, December 3 (12/3/2024) at Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville, Kentucky.

Syracuse bounced back into the win column with an 82-72 win over Upstate New York rivals, the Cornell Big Red, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It was their 44th-straight win over Cornell, and helped the Orange move to 4-0 at the Dome this season.

Freshmen Elijah Moore (23) and Donnie Freeman (19) combined for 42 points for Syracuse. Moore proved pivotal with 13 first-half points off the bench to help Syracuse on a 33-9 run that secured a 39-28 halftime lead they never gave up for the rest of the game.

Now the Orange head back on the road, where they’ll try to end their 0-2 away game losing streak so far this season. Technically, both games were in neutral territory at Barclays Center. Syracuse will be up against a No. 3-ranked Tennessee team that is 7-0 so far this season — a colossal test for Adrian Autry’s Orange.
