How Black Friday has changed over the years
Black Friday is no longer a day of long lines and extreme crowds for the most part, since longer deals and online shopping took over.
Do you want to splurge on something nice for yourself or a loved one but are not sure if you want to spend too much? Black Friday and Cyber Monday are almost here. Major retailers have already laid out popular products that are on sale.
Most stores are closed on Thanksgiving.
However, here are stores and malls that will be open on Black Friday (Nov. 29) in the Austin area and will probably have deals for shoppers.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, stores will be open from 6 a.m. to noon, with H-E-B Curbside available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. H-E-B pharmacies will be closed, but H-E-B Home Delivery will be available from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
H-E-B will be open during regular hours on Black Friday. Both curbside and home delivery will open at 9 a.m.
The Domain will be open on Black Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Barton Creek Square will be open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Lakeline Mall will be open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Galleria will be open on Black Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Round Rock Premium Outlets will be open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Tanger Outlets in San Marcos will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Costco in the Austin area will be open regular hours, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Central Market will have normal hours on Black Friday, opening from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Stores will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday and will have extended hours of 7 a.m. to midnight from Nov. 30 through Dec. 23.
Walmart will reopen for Black Friday at 5 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. In the meantime, Sam’s Club will kick off Black Friday online on Thanksgiving Day and will open for regular hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29.
Macy’s will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
Dick’s Sporting Goods stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Home Depot stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lowes will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
