DAN LANNING
— “We like sweating around here apparently.”
— Special teams were big.
— “Their back is special.”
— Team showed a lot of resiliency.
— Pleased with more explosive plays on offense. “We were looking for those opportunities and making sure we took shot down the field.”
— Early sack was mistake holding the ball too long. Has to review the others.
— On OL rotation: Will review film and see which combinations are best and sort out who the top 5-8 players are.
— On defending Jeanty: Miscommunication on late big run. “He just doesn’t go down.”
— Thought Jordan James ran well.
— Snaps being too early happened twice, including on fumble
— “I have a sense of relief because of the result” also a lot to fix and improve.
— On Tez Johnson: A lot of admiration for him. Brings passion and energy, proud of his leadership.
— Plays by Brandon Johnson and Jabbar Muhammad were critical. “I’m glad they’re here.”
— They coach the play when a live ball on kickoff return being dropped, not coached well enough. Had “anger, then relief.”
