The NFL continues its lead-up to Super Bowl 59 with the 14th annual NFL Honors ceremony Thursday night.
The league’s premier talent vie for a number of awards, headlined by MVP. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Saquon Barkley are among the five nominees jostling for the prestigious honor.
Jackson is hoping to become the seventh player in league history to win three MVPs, while Barkley would be the first running back to win the award since Adrian Peterson. But it’s Allen who some consider the favorite to bring home his first MVP.
In other categories, quarterback Jayden Daniels looks to win Offensive Rookie of the Year after reviving the Commanders in an admirable rookie season. Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell and Lions coach Dan Campbell each have a strong case to win Coach of the Year after dominating the NFC North.
In total, eight AP awards will be announced during the course of the event, hosted by Snoop Dogg. A number of other awards — like the estimable Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year — will also be unveiled.
