The 2024 NFL season is winding to a close, and with it, the league’s playoff picture is coming into focus. One team is going to get a chance to further its playoff chances on “Monday Night Football” in Week 16.
That would be the Green Bay Packers, who are playing host to the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field. Jordan Love‘s squad can officially clinch a postseason berth against a banged-up Saints squad on what figures to be a cold night in Green Bay.
The Saints are going to be without their top quarterback (Derek Carr), running back (Alvin Kamara), wide receiver (Chris Olave) and tight end (Taysom Hill) in Monday’s contest. Instead, Spencer Rattler will make his fourth start of the season; he has yet to win and will hope to upset the Packers and show that he has starting potential.
Upsetting the Packers won’t be an easy feat. They have only lost to teams that entered Week 16 with 12-plus wins, twice to the Detroit Lions and once each against the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings.
Here’s more to know about the Week 16 “Monday Night Football” matchup and how to watch it.
The Packers are hosting the Saints on “Monday Night Football” in Week 16. The Packers (10-4) entered Week 16 needing to win to officially lock up a playoff berth, though there remains an outside chance that they could already have a playoff spot wrapped up before kickoff.
Meanwhile, the Saints are may be knocked out of the NFC South race by the time this contest kicks off. They are largely playing for the future and will look to evaluate Rattler against a high-quality defense.
ESPN is typically the home of “Monday Night Football” but ABC will also broadcast the Week 16 game between the Packers and the Saints. The two networks have simulcast various “MNF” games throughout the season while ABC has also broadcast some exclusive contests when the family of networks has hosted “Monday Night Football” doubleheaders.
Cord-cutters will be able to catch the game either on ESPN+, which is ESPN’s proprietary streaming service, or with Fubo. Fubo carries NBC, as well as CBS, FOX, NFL Network and the ESPN family of networks, meaning you can catch most of the NFL’s action through the remainder of the season.

The Packers are heavily favored to defeat the Saints, according to NFL odds from BetMGM sportsbook.
USA TODAY’s experts agree that the Packers should be heavily favored, though they are split on whether Green Bay will be able to cover the high spread.
Below are their picks for the game:
Here’s a look at the remaining NFL “Monday Night Football” schedule for the 2024 season.
As always, there will not be a “Monday Night Football” game in Week 18, as the final NFL game of the regular season will be played on “Sunday Night Football” the previous night. That said, the NFL will host an “MNF” playoff game during Super Wild-Card Weekend, so fans won’t have to wait too long before getting to see another Monday NFL game.
