Louisville women’s basketball hit a bump in the road (schedule) last Sunday.
The Cardinals’ seven-game winning streak came to an end after a last-second comeback effort fell short in the 70-65 loss at Virginia Tech. After a seven-day break, they return to the state to face the Virginia Cavaliers at 2 p.m. today. The Cavaliers defeated the Hokies, 73-65, on Jan. 16.
Louisville’s loss to Virginia Tech hurt, but the squad remains among the conference’s top teams.

The Cardinals and Cavaliers are set for a 2 p.m. tipoff at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The game will be broadcast on the CW. Qualified subscribers can stream the game on Fubo.
Nick Curran (play-by-play) and Cortnee Walton (analyst) will have the call on the Cardinal Sports Network (WLCL 93.9-FM and WGTK 970-AM in Louisville).
