Kansas State basketball faces the latest in what has been a yearlong challenge on Saturday in its Big 12 road opener in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Wildcats (7-5, 1-0 Big 12), who take on TCU (7-5, 0-1) in a 3 p.m. game at Schollmaier Arena looking to end an 11-game road losing streak. They have not won a true road game since beating West Virginia last Jan. 9 in Morgantown.
K-State did open Big 12 play Monday with a 70-67 upset victory against No. 17 Cincinnati at Bramlage Coliseum, snapping a three-game nonconference skid. Two of those losses came at St. John’s (88-71) and Wichita State (84-65) after the Wildcats led at halftime.

TCU, which has just one player scholarship back from last year’s team in center Ernest Udeh, struggled during nonconference and dropped its Big 12 opener Monday at Arizona, 90-81. But the Horned Frogs are a perfect 7-0 at home, including a 76-72 decision against Villanova on Dec. 5.
Vasean Allette averages 10.7 points, Noah Reynolds 10.6 with 3.9 assists, and Trazarien White 10.2 points to lead TCU, with Udeh adding 9.2 points and 8.6 rebounds.
David N’Guessan leads four K-State double-figure scorers with 13.6 points per game, followed by Brendan Hausen with 13.0, Dug McDaniel with 10.3 and 4.3 assists, and Coleman Hawkins with 10.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
