UPDATE: PBSO ISSUES STATEMENT ON MULTIPLE GAMBLING ARRESTS…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — West Boca Raton resident Nova Roffey is facing multiple charges following her arrest Thursday morning by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Roffey was taken into custody early this morning. She was booked into jail around 11 a.m.

The arrest report continues to be processed but the charges provided to BocaNewsNow.com indicate money laundering and gambling. Arrests on these charges traditionally indicate a lengthy investigation. We expect to learn more over the next few days.

The official charges filed against Nova Roffey include: “establish gambling place — keep gambling house,” “fraud — money laundering with transactions (valued at) $100,000 or more,” “public order crimes — criminal conspiracy capital felony,” “establish gambling place — agent employee of keeper of house for gambling,” “lottery — operating, set-up, promote conduct for money,” “public order crimes — use two-way communication device to facility a felony,” and “gambling — manufacture, own, store, possess slot machine.”

We do not know if the alleged gambling operation was being run out of her home in the 11400 block of Sea Grass Circle in Boca Raton. In September 26, 2022, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) Narcotics Division: Money Laundering Unit initiated an investigation into allegations of money laundering and illegal gambling activities within Palm Beach County and surrounding areas.
Through extensive investigative efforts, PBSO Agents identified multiple establishments operating illegal gambling houses by utilizing Las Vegas-style video slot machines offering cash prizes, in violation of Florida gambling statutes. Florida law explicitly prohibits the possession or operation of slot machines outside of regulated facilities such as pari-mutuel locations and certain tribal gaming establishments.
Working in collaboration with the Florida Gaming Control Commission’s – Gaming Enforcement Division, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Miami Dade Police Department, Florida Statewide Prosecutors Office, PBSO Agents obtained jurisdiction to conduct investigations beyond Palm Beach County. Probable cause was established to link the following businesses to illegal gambling activities:

• SWFL Center LLC, DBA: VIP Sweepstakes (JJE Technologies, DBA: Treasure Hunt Arcade) – West Palm Beach, FL • Gold Wizards LLC (FTP Technologies LLC, DBA: Treasure Hunters Arcade & Prestige Sweepstakes) – Fort Pierce, FL • Golden Dreams Entertainment LLC (CJJ Technologies LLC, DBA: Pharaoh’s Treasure Arcade) – Vero Beach, FL • Florida Game Association LLC, DBA: Arcadia Arcade (AMGP Enterprises LLC) – Zephyrhills, FL

Additionally, the investigation revealed that Grandview Products, Inc. and GV Products, LLC, based in Miami, supplied unlawful slot machines to these illegal establishments. To date, the investigation has resulted in the issuance of five arrest warrants and nine search warrants. Results of warrants are still pending. These actions reflect PBSO’s ongoing commitment to combating illegal gambling and related criminal enterprises that negatively impact our communities.
