WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —Thousands of people, including members of law enforcement agencies from across the region, will gather next week to pay tribute to the three deputies who died as the result of a crash Thursday in Loxahatchee.
Sheriff Ric Bradshaw announced the memorial during a news conference that followed the death of Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz early Monday afternoon. The two other deputies, Corporal Luis Paez and Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Mourners will assemble at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, 601 Sansburys Way, near the South Florida Fairgrounds, Bradshaw explained. He added that approximately 7,000 people are expected to attend.
While offering details about the memorial, Bradshaw noted the flood of support, not only from fellow law enforcement officers but from President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance, as well as the directors of the FBI and Secret Service.
“They’re all saddened by it because they know when you lose a law enforcement office, you lose a little piece of the community because that’s what it’s all about: protecting the community,” he continued.

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A routine traffic stop in Martin County escalated into a pursuit that resulted in deputies discovering fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA, cocaine, and a stash of stolen credit cards, leading to the arrest of three individuals, all in their twenties.
“This was a big drug operation,” Martin Co. Sheriff William Snyder said. “We haven’t seen this much methamphetamine in this county in recent memory. They had 720 doses of fentanyl, about 8,000 doses of methamphetamine. So, you add those up, you have almost 9,000 potential overdoses here Martin County, and we have every reason to believe that narcotics was headed to our streets.”
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) stated that on Saturday night, deputies attempted to execute a traffic stop on Monterey Road near the Sheriff’s Office on Hollywood resident Juiber Ochoa, 28, in which, instead of stopping, he sped away in an attempt to return to the Interstate.
“They were right there at the Sheriff’s Office, so it was like kicking over a beehive,” Snyder continued. “Number two, they were in Martin County, where we’re pretty good at catching people that run from us.”

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The oldest house in Boynton Beach, the Andrew’s House, is scheduled for demolition on Monday, marking the end of an era for the historic property.
According to the Boynton Beach Historical Society, the frame vernacular home was built in 1907 by Dutch pioneer Bert Kapp and stood for years as a residential home and eventually preserved and restored to be used as a museum before it closed in 2011.
The Andrews House has been a part of Boynton Beach’s landscape for more than a century. Less than two decades ago, the home underwent a comprehensive renovation, restoring it to its former glory and updating it for modern use. Despite these efforts, the property’s fate was sealed amid shifting priorities and development pressures, as explained by Author and Palm Beach County Historian Ginger Pederson. Ph.D.
“The Andrews House is more than just a building; it’s a symbol of our city’s roots and a bridge to the past,” said Pedersen. “Its loss represents a growing challenge in preserving the architectural and cultural identity of Boynton Beach.”

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach murder suspect is accused of beating a man with a golf club and choking him on hole one of the golf course.
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department (PBGPD) stated that on Monday at around 1:22 p.m., they responded to the Sandhill Crane Golf Club located at 11401 Northlake Boulevard, after multiple 911 calls.
Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Dominick Pape says police found the victim, Brian Hiltebeiltel, 65 on the fairway of the first hole.
The probable cause affidavit states that officers located the suspect, identified as Junior Boucher, 36, fleeing from the scene. Officers were able to take Boucher into custody after they used an electronic control weapon.
“This appears to be a random act of violence where Boucher used the victim’s golf clubs as weapons and viciously attacked the victim, ultimately killing him. At this time it does not appear that Boucher had any legitimate purpose for being at the golf course,” said Dominick Pape, Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief.
