Stilleto Boy worked at Turfway Park on Wednesday ahead of his start in Saturday’s Prairie Bayou Stakes at the Northern Kentucky track.

The 6-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 37.2 seconds, third fastest of five at the distance.

Trained by Ed Moger Jr., Stilleto Boy has not won since last year’s Santa Anita Handicap (G1) and is 0-for-4 this year. The Prairie Bayou will be his first career start on a synthetic surface.

Stilleto Boy was one of eight graded-stakes winners with published works Wednesday. Three others worked Tuesday.

Didia (Orpen), a Grade 1 winner (2024 New York), worked four furlongs in 51.4 seconds at Keeneland on Wednesday morning. It was the slowest of 18 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Keeneland. In her last start, she placed third in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 2 for trainer Ignacio Correas.

Stilleto Boy (Shackleford), a Grade 1 winner (2023 Santa Anita Handicap), worked three furlongs in 37.2 seconds at Turfway Park on Wednesday morning. It was the third fastest of five works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he placed sixth in the Cherokee Mile going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on Dec. 1 for trainer Ed Moger Jr.

None Above the Law (Karakontie), a Grade 2 winner (2021 Del Mar Derby), worked four furlongs in 47.0 seconds at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of 26 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he placed sixth in the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 29 for trainer Jorge Periban.

Papilio (Starspangledbanner), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Appalachian), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds on turf at Palm Meadows on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of 35 works at the distance. Her previous work was 10 days ago going five furlongs at Palm Meadows. In her last start, she placed fourth in the Athenia going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 19 for trainer Mark Casse.

Evening Sun (Muhaarar), a Grade 3 winner (2022 San Francisco Mile), worked five furlongs in 59.0 seconds at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of seven works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita.
