Mullikin worked Wednesday for the first time since his second-place finish in the Grade 2 Cigar Mile on Dec. 7.

The 5-year-old son of Violence breezed three furlongs in 38.6 seconds at WinStar Training Center, fifth fastest of six at the distance.

Mullikin gave trainer Rodolphe Brisset his first Grade 1 win when he won the Forego at Saratoga in August. He also won the John A. Nerud (G2) and was third in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.

Mullikin was one of 15 graded-stakes winners who worked Wednesday.
