Didia, winner of four graded stakes in her 13 U.S. starts, worked Wednesday for the second time since a third-place effort in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
The 6-year-old mare opened her year with a win in the Grade 2 Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G2) and won the New York (G1) in June. Otherwise, she is 0-for-4 this year for trainer Ignacio Correas, finishing third in two starts and fourth in the others, all graded stakes.
On Wednesday, Didia breezed four furlongs in 50.2 seconds on Keeneland’s all-weather training track, ninth fastest of 18 at the distance. It was her second work since the Breeders’ Cup after going three furlongs in 38.8 seconds last week.
Didia was one of five graded-stakes winners with published works on Wednesday.
Didia (Orpen), a Grade 1 winner (2024 New York), worked four furlongs in 50.2 seconds at Keeneland on Wednesday morning. It was the ninth fastest of 18 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going three furlongs at Keeneland. In her last start, she placed third in the Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 2 for trainer Ignacio Correas.
Hoosier Philly (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Golden Rod), worked five furlongs in 1:00.2 at Fair Grounds on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of 27 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Fair Grounds. In her last start, she placed seventh in the Locust Grove (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Sept. 14 for trainer Tom Amoss.
Maryquitecontrary (First Dude), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Inside Information), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday morning. It was the second fastest of nine works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start, she placed second in a handicap going one mile and 70 yards on the synthetic at Gulfstream Park on Nov. 17 for trainer Edward Plesa, Jr.
Durante (Distorted Humor), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Bold Ruler), worked four furlongs in 52.6 seconds at Oaklawn on Wednesday morning. It was the 55th fastest of 60 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he placed sixth in an allowance race going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 24 for trainer David Jacobson.
Evening Sun (Muhaarar), a Grade 3 winner (2022 San Francisco Mile), worked four furlongs in 46.0 seconds at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of 10 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he placed seventh in a claiming race going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 24 for trainer Jeff Mullins.
