Wathnan Racing’s Karl Burke-trained filly Leovanni won the £150,000 contest at Royal Ascot.
Tracking the early leader Where’s Clare (Mehmas) towards the far side group, Leovanni was travelling comfortably over the 1000m contest. Still not pressed on by jockey James Doyle entering the final 400m, the filly pulled clear to win over Mighty Eriu (Inns Of Court) in second, and Maw Lam (Acclamation) in third.
Bred by Kcs Bloodstock Ltd, Leovanni is out of Kassandra (Dandy Man), who is a half-sister to Listed winner Majestic Myles (Majestic Missile) and a full sister to Gr.2 placed Parbold (Dandy Man).
