WASILLA, Alaska (KTUU) – The Wasilla High School boys basketball team is hosting a haunted car wash Friday and Saturday night called “Tunnel of Terror” at the Wasilla Lube Express Car Wash at the peak of spooky season.
Coach Steve Henderson says his boys have been super excited to put on the show, and they hope to make it an annual event. The family-friendly car wash will help raise funds for the basketball team as the season begins. They will be splitting the money raised with Wasilla Lube.
“We spend so much time fundraising for every single year, so a lot of that stuff goes to, you know, equipment and travel needs and anything you can think of that that we need to run our basketball program every year,” Henderson said.
The car wash runs Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The entry fee is $25 per vehicle, and monthly members of the Wasilla Lube Express Car Wash get in for free.
