The Lions, one of the few NFL teams to never appear in the Super Bowl, earned the NFC’s top seed after finishing the season 15-2. Led by QB Jared Goff, a high-octane offense and a patchwork defense that has dominated during the season, the Lions are the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl.
To make it, Detroit will need to first stop Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels on Saturday night. Daniels, the favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, has revived the Commanders’ franchise, leading it to its first playoff victory since 2005 – a 23-20 victory over Tampa Bay last Sunday.
