The Washington Capitals and Bethesda Row will host a Shop for the Cause with Caps Care pop up event located at the Bethesda Row shopping mall at 4827 Bethesda Ave. on Wednesday, March 19 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
The celebration will feature music by DJ Chris Styles, a meet and greet with Monumental Sports Network (MSN) analyst Alan May and MSN host Alexa Landestoy from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
There will also be a photo op with the Capitals’ mascot, Slapshot, as well as sweepstakes entry for Capitals tickets, prize giveaways and the reveal of an original mural by artist Hiba Alyawer.
A spring fundraiser will run from 3 to 7 p.m. Participating Bethesda Row stores will donate 10% of sales to the Washington Capitals’ Capital Impact Fund in support of limiting financial barriers that hinder access to the game of hockey. Information about the fund can be found here. A Capitals hockey display created by Lucy Blossoms will also be featured at the event.
Additional information about the event can be found on the Capitals’ website.
