LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee University women’s golf team earned a No. 13 ranking in the 2024-25 Mizuno WGCA Division III Coaches Poll, as announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Friday.
The Generals collected 215 points in the first poll of the season. Defending NCAA Champion Carnegie Mellon University claimed the top spot, while Emory University and Pomona-Pitzer shared the No. 2 ranking.
The Generals are one of two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) programs mentioned in the preseason poll with Randolph-Macon coming in at No. 25 with 48 points.
Washington and Lee aims to build off the 2023-24 season, with an eight-player roster that features all five varsity starters returning to the lineup.
Washington and Lee will open its 2024-25 campaign at The MCC Invitational on September 22 and 23 in Montgomery, Alabama.
