Jayson Tatum has proven himself to be one of the best players in the world. The Boston Celtics star is a clear-cut top-10 player in the NBA and one of the most complete talents in the league due to his playmaking, scoring, rebounding and defending. However, the media consistently overlooks him when talking about the future faces of the NBA.
During a recent top-25 player ranking by Jason Timpf on his “Hoops Tonight” YouTube channel, the popular NBA creator faced some backlash for listing Anthony Edwards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ahead of the Celtics star, especially after Tatum sacrificed some of his scoring to help Joe Mazzulla’s team reach new heights and dominant the league during both the regular season and the playoffs.
As such, Timpf has since explained his rankings and why Tatum was placed below the two Western Conference standouts while also detailing why his decisions shouldn’t be seen as disrespectful toward the 3-time All-NBA First Team selection.
