CORAL SPRINGS – Lewis-Clark State College Women’s Golf achieved one of the most impressive feats in program history on Tuesday when the WGCA announced the Warrior women achieved the sixth-best team grade point average in the NAIA this season. The 2023-24 squad finished the year with a 3.767 GPA to earn its historic ranking and WGCA All-Scholar Team honors.
“I could not be prouder of our 2023-24 women’s team for being named an WGCA All-Scholar Team. Finishing sixth in the NAIA academically is a huge accomplishment and one we don’t take lightly,” Head Coach Zach Anderson said. “We understand the rigorous task of being a student-athlete. Our women come into each day knowing the work they need to put in to be successful in the classroom and on the course. They are setting the standard for the future Warrior Women’s Golf teams.”
The Warrior women had two student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring in senior Kyla Currie and sophomore Dallis Shockey. Each member of the seven-person team earned at least a 3.0, and five had a 3.75 or better.
LC State was the lone Cascade Conference program in the WGCA’s top 10.
