Starting the golf season off in balmy, breezy Hawaii is only natural. The island state is home to a variety of world class golf courses and golfers. It’s also home to skateboarder-turned-model for Louis Vuitton Evan Mock. Similar to others in fashion and entertainment, the 27-year-old has gravitated to golf as a low key pursuit between creative projects. Now, Mock’s own lifestyle label Wahine has teamed up with skate-influenced golf brand Walker Golf Things on a six-piece capsule collection of lifestyle golfwear.
The project, just launched today, came about thanks to Mock’s relationship with Walker Golf Things founder Jack Fardell. The professional skateboarder who rides for adidas recently moved to Hawaii and found himself frequently teeing it up with Mock. Discussions of a collaboration between their respective labels soon followed. The limited capsule leans on a holiday print which is seen across a rayon Hawaiian shirt, cotton t-shirt and absorbent towel. The hybrid shorts with large Wahine branding down the right thigh are an unconventional but fitting counterpart for the hero button-up shirt. A matching rope hat and leather headcover round out the selection.
You can head over to the Walker Golf Things or Wahine website to see the full collection. Pricing is between $40 and $130 USD.
