Goodwood Racecourse, the UK horse racing venue, has today announced a renewed sponsorship deal with the Gulf state of Qatar.
The extended multi-year agreement will come into effect for the 2025 edition of the Goodwood Festival.
Goodwood’s existing sponsorship with Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club has been in place for 10 years, having commenced in 2015.
It is claimed to be the biggest single sponsorship deal in British Horseracing.
Under the new deal, the sponsorship will be activated through the Visit Qatar tourism authority.
The year’s Goodwood Festival, which began yesterday (July 30) and will conclude on Saturday (August 3), will be the last to be known as the Qatar Goodwood Festival.

Visit Qatar will serve as the main sponsor of the meeting next year.
The two parties have said the partnership will also preserve the legacy of the Qatar International Stakes, a race for purebred Arabian horses, which was established during the first edition of the Goodwood Festival and serves as the first leg of the Doha Triple Crown.
