The Lions are 2.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, and the total is 56.5 points.
The winner of this game will win not just the NFC North division but also the NFC’s top seed. As nice as bragging rights over a rival team would be, a week of rest and homefield advantage in the postseason would be nicer.
I like the Vikings to get the job done tonight. It felt like the Lions were a team of destiny earlier in the season, but injuries have ravaged Dan Campbell’s unit. Meanwhile, the Vikings are peaking at just the right time. It’ll be fun to see how far Coach of the Year frontrunner Kevin O’Connell can take Sam Darnold and this underappreciated team — starting with this massive Week 18 divisional matchup.
