Sean O’Malley is just two weeks away from his awaited title defense against Merab Dvalishvili at Noche UFC, but that didn’t stop the reigning UFC bantamweight champion from participating in the Arizona Cardinals training camp earlier this week.
For those fight fans who don’t know, the NFL season is nearly upon us. It may not be as big as Dana White’s world-renowned Power Slap (that is a joke), but millions of people are counting down the days until meaningful American football is back in full force. This includes O’Malley, who is a huge Cardinals fan.
Luckily, the UFC superstar was able to visit the Cardinals facility earlier this week to make an appearance during training camp. Not only was O’Malley able to swap some signed memorabilia with Cardinals quarterback, Kyler Murray, but “Suga” eventually ran some routes and looked pretty smooth doing it.
Check out some of the footage below:
O’Malley, who fights out of Phoenix, is hoping to end Dvalishvili’s impressive 10-fight win streak when the two meet at Noche UFC on Sept. 14 from inside The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. A win would cement O’Malley as one of the best fighters in the sport today and the promotion’s biggest star attraction (as long as Conor McGregor is riding the pine).
As for his football skills, does O’Malley have a future in the NFL?
