REEDSBURG, Wis.–University of Wisconsin-Whitewater continues to lead following the second round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Golf Championship (presented by Culver’s) at Reedsburg Country Club on Oct. 5.
The Warhawks, who have claimed seven straight conference titles, own a 36-hole total of 625 strokes to out exceed UW-Stout’s second-place total of 633 strokes. UW-La Crosse is third with 648 strokes, UW-Oshkosh fourth with 656, UW-Platteville fifth with 671, UW-Eau Claire sixth with 682, UW-River Falls seventh with 693 and UW-Stevens Point eighth with 711.
Individually, UW-Stout’s Julia Imai leads the 76-player field with 148 strokes. UW-Whitewater’s Haley Myers is second with 152 strokes, UW-Whitewater’s Ellie Johnson third with 155 strokes and UW-Stout’s Brin Neumann fourth with 158 strokes. A four-way tie for fifth place with 159 strokes includes UW-La Crosse’s Allison Balduzzi, UW-Oshkosh’s Ava Downie, and UW-Whitewater’s Kallie Lux and Payton Schmidt. UW-La Crosse’s Jenna Wiebke is ninth with 160 strokes and UW-Platteville’s Taylor Swalve 10th with 162 strokes.
The team winner will earn the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship that will be held May 13-16, 2025, at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
The 54-hole championship will conclude on Oct. 6, with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
