CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Pipelines & Pathways is hosting an event to help people in the Charlottesville area find jobs. The UVA Career and Community Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, at John Paul Jones Arena.
Organizers said nearly 90 potential employers will participate, with hundreds of open positions to fill. Attendees can apply for jobs on the spot, get resume help, and even have professional headshots taken for free.
“All are welcome at any time,” said Pipelines & Pathways Manager Hollie Lee. “There’s an opportunity for everyone. In addition to having the employers there, we are also going to have a job seeker resource area, where job seekers can come and get information on how to write a resume, practice their mock interviewing, and we can actually help then complete and submit applications on the spot.”
The career fair will feature employers from UVA Health, UVA Academic Departments, and local businesses.
