If you wanted to cash in on Kamala Harris becoming the next president, you might want to place your bets now.
Because the vice president’s odds continue to climb.
According to the latest betting odds on RealClearPolitics, Harris has a 51.4% chance of winning November’s election, while former President Donald Trump’s odds have fallen to 46.9%
Harris, who replaced President Joe Biden in July as the democratic candidate for president, has been moving up in betting odds for more than a month. She also got a bump after the pair debated earlier this month.
Betfair has Harris at 50% to win and Trump at 45%. Betsson has Harris at 53% and Trump at 47%. Bovada has the same odds as Betsson, as does Bwin and Points Bet.
Polymarket is the only oddsmaker that gives Harris a less than 50% chance to win, she’s at 48% with Trump behind just one point. And Smarkets give Harris a 50% chance of winning and Trump a 45% chance at winning.
If you want to win money on Harris, you’re going to have to pay for it. She’s currently at -125 to win, which means you have to bet $125 to win $100. That equates to a 52.63% chance at winning. Trump comes in at even money, giving him a 47.37% chance to win.
