Jayden Dnaiels has broken the record he set last week by becoming the first NFL player to have ever won the Offensive Rookie of the Week award 11 times.
Congratulations to Jedi5, the Slim Reaper, Commander Clutch — Jayden Daniels.
This week, Jayden Daniels has again been nominated for the Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week award, this time for his play in the thrilling overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons in front of a national prime time audience on Sunday Night Football.

In a game in which the Commanders the Commanders were flagged for 13 accepted penalties that cost 108 yards and kept the offense constantly behind schedule, no player was more key to the victory than Jayden Daniels.
Jayden Daniels had record-setting stats for the game. He led all players on both teams — including Bijan Robinson — in rushing, carrying the ball 16 times for 127 yards, including these runs that were as smooth as silk:
and this bruising rumble that set up the game-winning play in overtime:
Jayden Daniels threw 3 touchdowns in this game — one to Olamide Zaccheaus, and two more to TE Zach Ertz, including the game winner in overtime to seal a playoff berth for the Commanders.
Jayden completed 24-36 for 227 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception as he targeted eight different receivers, finishing with a passer rating of 100.1 in an exciting win to seal a spot in the NFC playoffs.
This was an exciting game, played in prime time in front of a pumped-up home crowd and a national (international even) TV audience. With the win, Washington locked up a playoff berth and moved into the 6th seed wildcard in the NFC with just one game remaining in the regular season.
After sixteen weeks, the Commanders are 3rd in rushing yards, 4th in total yards and 5th in total points scored. The team is solidly in second place in the NFC East, and is currently positioned for the 6th seed in the NFC playoffs. These impressive achievements, coming in a rebuilding year in which the entire franchise was stripped down and rebuilt in a matter of months, are largely attributable to the high level of play and professionalism of Washington’s rookie quarterback, who is having an incredible season.
Kyle Brandt: We need people to see Jayden Daniels; he is the best thing going right now – the coolest, most fun, most astonishing thing. The best show, right now! It’s not the Vikings; it’s not the Chiefs – it is the Commanders offense, and the Commanders as a whole, and I have never said that in my life.
