The University of Hawaii announced its full 2025 football schedule Thursday with seven games at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
UH had previously announced four nonconference games and paired them with eight Mountain West dates announced by the league.
Barring a nonconference addition between now and the “Week Zero” opener at home against Stanford on Aug. 23, UH will play 12 games for the second straight season. (Note: See below for full schedule.)
“We intend to remain at 12 games but open to a 13th if it fits and makes sense,” Lois Manin, acting UH athletic director, told Spectrum News in a message.
UH will play its first six games — Stanford, at Arizona, Sam Houston, Portland State, Fresno State and at Air Force — in consecutive weeks. It has bye dates on Oct. 4, Oct. 25 and Nov. 15.
It will be the Mountain West’s last season in its current 12-team form. Fresno State, Boise State, San Diego State, Utah State and Colorado State are leaving for the Pac-12 in 2026.
The Mountain West is poised to add UTEP and Northern Illinois in football the same year, while UH is set to become a full MWC member.
The Mountain West previously announced UH’s league opponents for 2025, but not the dates. UH knew it would face four of the five outgoing members.
Two of UH’s longest-running rivalries — Fresno State and San Jose State — were absent from its 2024 schedule. They return in 2025, along with Air Force, Colorado State, UNLV, San Diego State, Utah State and Wyoming.
The Rainbow Warriors will make a visit to Colorado Springs, Colo., to play Air Force at the Falcons’ stadium for the first time since 2016.
The two MWC teams with the best conference winning percentage will meet in the MWC championship game on Dec. 5.
