UCLA football has some upside
Spring football is just around the corner for the UCLA Bruins. After a busy off-season making changes along the coaching staff and roster, the Bruins, in many ways, will appear to be a nearly unrecognizable team in 2025.
This week, the 2025 Bruins appeared on a promising shortlist of NCAA programs.
Listed in a 247Sports article by Cody Nagel, the Bruins were one of ten NCAA teams with the potential to “flash” in 2025. They join Texas Tech, Arizona State, Duke, Michigan State, Nebraska, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
With the addition of offensive coordinator Tino Suneri and some notable transfer portal additions, Nagel believes UCLA could make a considerable jump in head coach DeShaun Foster’s second year in the Big Ten.
While UCLA’s competition remains stiff in the Big Ten, a softer schedule and influx of new talent could lead to a promising year for the Bruins and an important step towards aspirations beyond bowl eligibility for the future.
