Two North Allegheny Tigers girls basketball players were named to the Big 56 All-Section team that was released Thursday morning. Vange Balouris got first team honors while Rosalia Varlotta was named to the second team.
Balouris did a little bit of everything for the Tigers in the 2024-2025 regular season as she averaged 13.5 points per game to go along with 6.2 rebounds a game. Along with being a top scorer and rebounder on the team, she was one of the best facilitators and defenders as well averaging 3.2 assists and 3.6 steals a game.
Varlotta really came on in the second half of the season. Splitting time between the starting lineup and coming off the bench,
Varlotta averaged 10.2 points per game and 6.5 rebounds a game.

North Allegheny will play in the WPIAL Quarterfinals on Friday, February 21 against the Norwin Knights at a time to be determined. This game will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
