LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Two people in a golf cart were killed in a crash this afternoon with a sports utility vehicle.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 11 and Tulls Mill Road in the Deep Run part of Lenoir County.
Troopers say two people in the golf cart were killed, while the driver of the SUV was not injured.
The Highway Patrol is expected to release more details later tonight on the crash.
The accident shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 11 for nearly three hours this afternoon.
