Catching Freedom worked at Payson Park on Tuesday as trainer Brad Cox prepares him for his first start since a fourth-place finish in the Grade 3 Ohio Derby in June.

The 3-year-old Constitution colt breezed four furlongs in 49.8 seconds, 43rd fastest of 98 works at the distance.

Catching Freedom won the Louisiana Derby (G2) in March and then was fourth in the Kentucky Derby. He came back to run third in the Preakness ahead of his Ohio Derby start. He returned to the work tab Nov. 23.
