Speed Boat Beach, unraced since winning the Grade 1 Malibu in 2023, worked Tuesday morning for trainer Bob Baffert.
The 5-year-old son of Bayern went four furlongs in 47.6 seconds at Santa Anita, the third fastest of 32 at the distance.
Speed Boat Beach trained in spurts last year taking a break in September and returning in January. He has had five works this year at Santa Anita.
Speed Boat Beach was one of 11 graded-stakes winners with published works Tuesday.
