Speed Boat Beach, unraced since winning the Grade 1 Malibu in 2023, worked Tuesday morning for trainer Bob Baffert.

The 5-year-old son of Bayern went four furlongs in 47.6 seconds at Santa Anita, the third fastest of 32 at the distance.

Speed Boat Beach trained in spurts last year taking a break in September and returning in January. He has had five works this year at Santa Anita.

Speed Boat Beach was one of 11 graded-stakes winners with published works Tuesday.

Kopion (Omaha Beach), a Grade 1 winner (2024 La Brea), worked five furlongs in 1:02.6 at Santa Anita on Tuesday morning. It was the 25th fastest of 35 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going three furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she won the Santa Monica (G2) going seven furlongs on the main track at Santa Anita on Feb. 1 for trainer Richard Mandella.
