MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WMBF) – Friday marks round one of the 2025 Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship, and some big names are set to tee off.
The tee times show Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, will tee off at 9 a.m. on hole one. At the same time, the son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, Charlie Woods, will tee off on hole 10.
Overall, the tournament at TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet sees 90 players between 13 and 18 years old.
The field is stacked with young talent, including the 6th-ranked American junior Tyler Watts, who finished third at the DJ World Junior last year.
North Carolina commit and 8th-ranked junior Asher Vargas is also among the top young talent in the field.
As for Grand Strand talent, on the girls’ side, 13th-ranked Madison Messimer will attempt to become the first Myrtle Beach resident to win the tournament.
This year marks the 10th tournament, and Dustin Johnson, who played for Coastal Carolina, continues to commit to helping junior golfers grow.

Round one of the tournament goes through Saturday, with round two starting on Sunday.
