BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Behind a trio of Jackrabbits who fired a 69 (-3) over the final lap, the South Dakota State women’s golf team finished in a tie for sixth place Tuesday at the Clash at Boulder Creek.
McKenzie Mages recorded six birdies on the last 18 holes for her 3-under day. The junior finished in a tie for 17th place in the final standings with a 212 (-4) tally. She birdies four of her final five holes.
Piper Stubbs rolled in seven birdies Tuesday and was also 3-under for the round. She was +1 heading into the final four holes but birdied all four to go under par. The senior tied for 25th place with a 214 (-2) scorecard.
Shakira-Ann Kuys posted five birdies on her final 18 holes. Her 69 (-3) last loop brought her to +5 for the week and a tie for 56th place.
Molly O”Hara finished in 48th place (219, +3) while Reese Jansa finished t-52nd place (220, +4). Anna Hjardottir competed individually this week. She tied for 65 place (224, +8)
The Jackrabbits’ outstanding final day moved them up two spots in the final standings from Monday’s finish. San Francisco was 41-under par as a team to win the team title.
NOTES
SDSU had 58 birdies a a team, the fourth-most of all teams.
