ANGOLA, Ind. (WPTA) – The Trine men’s basketball team will get to cap off it’s championship season with one final road trip on Monday.
The Thunder will head to the nation’s capital, to participate in the second annual White House College Champions Day.
This event debuted last year, celebrating college champs from all three NCAA divisions.
Trine and the other 40-45 teams in attendance will get to take a tour of the White House on Monday morning, before a ceremony honoring the championship programs.
The Trine men’s basketball team won its first ever national championship in March, with a 69-61 win over Hampden-Sydney in the title game at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
