Kicker isn’t a position most of us put a lot of thought into when it comes to constructing our fantasy rosters. At least, not until we have to, when our incumbent kicker leaves us a few points short in a close loss or needs to be replaced during a bye.
That’s why it’s important to know which kickers are the best options each week (and likely available). FTW has the answers right here. But first…
Week 8 top performers
- Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers (14 points)
- Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles (13 points)
- Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers (12 points)
- Anders Carlson, San Francisco 49ers (12 points)
- Greg Joseph, New York Giants (12 points)
- Austin Seibert, Washington Commanders (12 points)
Ryland posted his second-highest point total of the season last week with eight points, which isn’t much, but it’s fine considering it was just his fourth game. He has a similar matchup against Chicago this week.
New York’s inability to finish drives worked out great in a 12-point week for Joseph, even against a Steelers team allowing the third-fewest points to kickers. So, I’m not too concerned about the Commanders allowing the fourth-fewest.
Dicker has combined for 33 points over the last three weeks. I expect his high usage to continue against the Browns this week.
Myers’ opportunities have been limited this season, but he hasn’t missed a kick yet. Sunday’s game against the Rams will be the best kicking matchup he’s had this season outside of a 10-point game he had against the Falcons.
Seibert leads all fantasy kickers in scoring this season, yet remains rostered in fewer than 65% of Yahoo leagues. He’d be a pickup even if the Commanders didn’t have a great kicker matchup against the Giants.
