For those of you who are still able to make trades in dynasty, this list comes in perfect timing. If not, I don’t expect these values to change drastically over the next few weeks and you can apply it then. Either way, getting ahead of the curve and finding soft spots in the dynasty market is the best way to improve your team. With that said, let’s take a look at the top three players to buy in dynasty fantasy football.
One of the easiest decisions you can make in dynasty fantasy football is buying valuable injured players. Typically, these players are still undervalued because you can’t start them right now, and there’s always a bit of risk. That said, the upside with Rashee Rice is off the charts. At the end of September, Rice was being valued as the WR8 before his injury.
One important thing to note is that “Reports indicated that Rice had no structural damage to his ACL or meniscus” making it likely that Rice will be 100% healthy next year. The only other issue is the possible suspension looming over his head. Knowing the NFL, though, I would be shocked if Rice was out for more than six games.
You have to play the long game here, but if you do, it’s almost guaranteeing you can get a top-10 dynasty receiver when healthy. As a rookie, Rice had 13.3 PPG, and through three games in 2024, he had 21.6 PPG. I’m not concerned about Rice not returning value in the slightest; the only question is how long it will take.
Similar to Rice, Brandon Aiyuk is an extremely safe investment based on his KTC Value of WR30. The reason Aiyuk is going so much lower is because of a tough start to the season before his injury. After holding out in the off-season, Aiyuk looked terrible through seven weeks, only going above 10 points one time. That said, in week five, we saw Aiyuk flash his former self, scoring 22.7 points off eight catches and 147 yards.
The main reason you should be investing in Aiyuk, though, is the massive contract he signed in the off-season. Aiyuk is on a four-year deal through 2027, with 76 million dollars in guaranteed money. Despite having a rough year, I’d still want to be investing in the WR1 for the 49ers. We also know that Deebo Samuel won’t be taking over anytime soon.
Samuel had over 16 PPG in 2021 and 2023 before falling off a cliff in 2024. Even as the clear WR1, Samuel has been terrible, averaging 9.2 PPG. Despite not having a strong 2024 season, I’m willing to bet on the 26-year-old receiver who scored more than 15 PPG in two of his first five NFL seasons.
With how much the dynasty community loves Bucky Irving, they’ve also grown to hate Rachaad White. That said, it’s ridiculous to have White behind guys like Braelon Allen and even Zach Charbonnet. Based on his market price, you’d think White was the clear backup to Irving and wasn’t producing at all. That’s nowhere near the case.
White is averaging 14.2 PPG on the year and he’s shown that he can produce next to Irving. In week 10, he scored 17.7 points, and in week 15, he just scored 14.1 points. Unlike the other players on this list, Irving isn’t going to be a superstar, but that’s priced in. Right now, he’s putting up RB2 numbers as a 25-year-old back. Yet White is being ranked as an RB3.
