Timothy Olyphant is set to appear in the untitled golf comedy series starring Owen Wilson at Apple TV+, Variety has learned exclusively.
The show was originally picked up for 10 episodes at Apple in March. Wilson will star alongside fellow cast members Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, and Judy Greer. Olyphant will appear in a guest star role.
Per the official logline the series follows Pryce Cahill (Wilson), “an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After he gets fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store and his wife walks out on him, Pryce hedges his bets entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom (Drager).
Olyphant will play Clark, described as “a successful, former golf pro who once toured with Pryce.”
Olyphant recently returned to the role of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens in the FX limited series “Justified: City Primeval.” He previously starred in “Justified” for six seasons, for which he received an Emmy nomination in 2011. Olyphant also received Emmy nominations for his guest star role in “The Mandalorian” and for the “Deadwood” followup movie, the latter of which saw him reprise the role of Seth Bullock from the “Deadwood” HBO series. His other TV credits include “Santa Clarita Diet,” “Full Circle” and “Daisy Jones & The Six,” while his film credits include “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Amsterdam.” He is also set to appear in Noah Hawley’s “Alien” series at FX.
He is repped by UTA.

Propagate’s Ben Silverman also executive produces along with Howard T. Owens and Rodney Ferrell, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady, Piece of Work’s Lee Eisenberg and Natalie Sandy, Chris Moynihan, and Bill Callahan. Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris will direct.
