LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Timberlake is getting a new disc golf location! The Rainbow Forest Club House is currently constructing a 9-hole course.

Jon Posey, the project foreman, said this will be a great course for everyone, including beginners.

He said the course is, “Nothing too long, nothing too complicated.” He said it is a very pretty course, especially during Spring when the trees are green again.

“Oh as an avid member of the disc golf community, it’s great. This entire area right here, this club, specifically this pool is very family-focused and family oriented. It’s a lot to give back to the kids here that attend the club. But not only them but also the kids in the community,” he said.

He said the pool is members-only, but the disc golf course will be available for anyone to come and play! It will be done by late spring of this year.

Posey said Foundation Disc Golf is helping sponsor it. They have also helped with designing it and getting baskets. He said they partnered with their local Home Depot, which helped with a grant program to get the materials they needed.
