Golf superstar Tiger Woods and a husband and wife real estate duo who live in Dallas have teed up a new North Texas project.
Woods plans to build a golf course southwest of Fort Worth, and his development partners plan to build a 600-home community around the attraction.
The 914-acre Bluejack Ranch in Aledo will be home to Woods’ second course. Woods, a 15-time major winner, designed his first course in 2014 at Bluejack National, a 767-acre development outside of Houston.
Now, the partners are looking to replicate its success in Parker County.

“Bluejack National’s success has paved the way for this next chapter at Bluejack Ranch,” Woods said in a letter on the project’s website. “Our shared vision of creating a space where families can enjoy the game and have inspired us all once again at (the) Ranch. It’s extremely motivating for me to contribute to the golfing legacy of Fort Worth, and I’m excited to see what we’ll build together.”
Developers on the project include Andy and Kristin Mitchell as well as professional golfer J.J. Henry. Each has ties to the Fort Worth area.
All three attended Texas Christian University. Andy Mitchell, the founder, CEO and Managing Partner of Lantern Capital Partners, was born in Fort Worth. The Mitchells live in Dallas.
The ranch club is expected to open in early 2025, and Woods’ 18-hole golf course is expected to open in early 2026. Work on the course has already begun, and home construction is expected to start at the end of the year or early 2025, said Andy Mitchell.
There will be 600 ranch memberships that allow residents to access the property’s amenities outside the course. Only 400 golf memberships will be offered, and residents get first priority.
The development will feature six different home types, ranging from two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes at 1,140 square feet to four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom properties at 3,350 square feet.
Most of the homes will fall between $1.5 million to $4.5 million.Unlike its Houston-area counterpart, many of the homes at Bluejack Ranch will serve as primary homes for residents, said Andy Mitchell.
Much of the early groundwork was already done. The development is on the same tract of land where plans were made for Kelly Ranch, a 2,400-acre site that was to include 2,500 new homes and an 18-hole golf course. That deal fell apart.
Bluejack Ranch will have a working ranch with 8 full-time horses, longhorns, mini-donkeys and other ranch animals. Other ranch club amenities include:
a spa and wellness area
a family entertainment center
a golf performance and practice area
pools
recreation spaces
a 10-hole short course that will also be designed by Woods
The ranch will also be home to a film, TV and podcast studio. Lantern Asset Management bought Film producer Harvey Weinstein’s company in a bankruptcy auction for $289 million following the sexual assault scandal that led to his eventual conviction.
It’s the golfer’s latest Dallas-Fort Worth project. Woods is a co-owner of PopStroke, a mini-golf and entertainment complex that opened a location in The Colony earlier this year.
“This for (Tiger and us) is both a legacy play and something that we hope our families enjoy long after we’re no longer on this planet,” Andy Mitchell said.
