A miniature golf course/restaurant/bar chain co-owned by professional golfer Tiger Woods is making its way into Austin this year. PopStroke will be opening in the Tech Ridge neighborhood at 13011 McCallen Pass in the spring of 2025, as reported by Statesman. And then it’ll be opening another location in Cedar Park at 817 C-Bar Ranch Trail at some point.
PopStroke’s Austin location — dubbed PopStroke at the Pitch — will feature two 18-hole mini-golf courses as well as a patio restaurant and bar. Expect a fast-casual menu with dishes like burgers, tacos, salads, wraps, and milkshakes, alongside cocktails and beer.
Parent company PopStroke Entertainment Group will be constructing the Austin location with shipping containers. It’ll be found near the Pitch, an alfresco restaurant and bar park also next to the city’s soccer team Austin FC’s training facility.
The Cedar Park PopStroke will also feature two mini-golf courses with a full on-site restaurant and bar.
PopStroke founder Greg Bartoli originally founded a similar concept, Lighthouse Cove, a family-friendly miniature golf course and restaurant in Florida, with three locations. Then he used that as the blueprint for PopStroke in Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2013, and has since expanded with locations across the country. Tiger Woods invested and partnered with the company in 2020, and then golfing equipment company TaylorMade joined in 2023. PopStroke also plans to open in College Station, San Antonio, and the Houston area this year. It already exists in the Dallas area and Katy.
Similarly, Australian-based mini-golf course/restaurant/bar Holey Moley opened its first Austin location in March, taking over what had been the Native.
